Finnish Arch Veil Hat - 2023
This is an example of the Kaarina Arch Veil hat found in the Finnish Kaarina Kirkkomaki grave #27. Archaeologists do not think this was a headdress for daily wear, but rather would have been for ritual use. It was stiffened by birch bark and features a unique decorative element, the Finnish spiral bead along the edges,
