This project was a fun one. It was created to answer a riddle:
"You will find me equally in darkness and light, my bark is not loud, but with metal I bite."

My answer, a tomato, was because it is a member of the nightshade family, but as a plant needs light to grow. It was feared in period because of its nightshade affiliation, but it wasn't actually dangerous. It only "bit" when combined with metal - lead poisoning from pewter plates.

I created a replica of a period herbal painting, preserved a plant specimen as done in renaissance style and grew a plant.
